Shopping Cart Dangers
Small children were rushed to emergency rooms an estimated 23,628 times because of shopping cart injuries in the U.S. in 2007 alone. Since so many plummet head-first to the floor, sidewalk or parking lot, two-thirds of those children had head injuries.

My daughter fell head first from an Old Navy shopping cart when my two year old pulled it over. I was contacted by corporate risk dept. and made aware that I was not the only one this happened to but I notice they still have these very light carts in store. If a two year old can pull it over by climbing on the side of it - imagine what a 5 or bigger kid could do. I was lucky that she had no fractures. We are so careful with carts now. Very dangerous. Thanks for doing this.
